In basketball, these skills include: dribbling, arm bar, stance and passing. In cricket, skills included: over arm and under arm throw, batting, bowling and catching. Both sports got learners to develop their capabilities and curiosities in these sports, form connections in both codes and to collaborate with others.

Sanjana enjoys sports and Physical Education. She shows capabilities in both sports and demonstrates skills she has learned.

Narrative Assessment: Sanjana and Writing

Learner: Sanjana
Area:Writing Level 2
Date: 12.11.18
In Writing, we have been recounting our experiences. A recount is retelling a learner's experience from their own point of view. Some of our experiences include: the blindfold game, cricket and basketball. We have been learning to add in detail by using adjectives, verbs, feelings and emotions in our writing. Our hapu have been working hard to include at least three different words to paint a better picture for our audience.

Sanjana is able to write and her build sentences into paragraphs. She has been learning to add more detail and ideas into her writing using new interesting words like adjectives and verbs. Sanjana thinks carefully about her ideas and is able to put them into paragraphs. She is developing her curiosity by asking questions and is slowly making connections by using ideas discussed in a larger group. Sanjana collaborates with others by sharing her ideas in discussions. She is beginning to think carefully about her ideas and the audience she is writing for.

Key Competencies: Managing Self Thinking Relating to others Participating and Contributing and through the use of digital tools - using language, symbols and texts

Next Steps:
Continue using detailed ideas in your writing
Reflect on your learning and think of how you can improve
Keep practising your writing at home

Guess what we happened? Our hapu went to the library. We played a game Of Blindfolds. My experience was weird and funny because i bumped into too many things. My partner for blindfolds was suri.First it was may turn to be blindfolded and suri had to guide me.What was hard About guiding was i kept going the wrong way.Suri could not hold on to me or it would be cheating.you could only say front, back left or Right. Also did you know today,we did the same thing but on the playground.Suri banged me into a piece of log hanging. Then she made me go up the steps and go across the woden wiggly logs.

my great great recount

Today with miss lavakula we went to play on the new playground.you must be wondering why did we go on the new playground Because we were going to write a recount and describe it. The whole of lavakula writing group went to the playground .One of my favourite things was this wheel thing. I do not know the name of it but you twist it in circles and water comes out and falls on A pcise of lag. What i mean by log not any old log this log is carved so the water can travel thourgh. To a path. Then it falls on some pebbles in the front. There was this really cool thing that i was curious about. It was kind of like a door that if you push it down it closes and blocks the water from going through. And if you pull it it up the water goes out Oncs it goes out it goes under a bridge and into the sand in. The sand people or kids blocked the water How i felt:i was really excited and happy because it felt like i was at the beach

I did not do much in the holidays I went to my cousin rajni’s house for a sleepover. First we went to kmart and bought some clothes. Then when we got back home. We did some cleaning.Like the bed sheets.- P.2 After we finished cleaning the bed sheets We played ping pong.It was a lot of fun because we had 1 bat each and 2 ping pong balls. There was also this net that you pull from the bottom and you clip it onto the table. In the first round i batted the ball to rajni and it hit the kitchen bench and then the fridge. It was very funny and we laughed a lot we were getting a bit bored by then so she made me an ice cream sundae.First she put ice cream on the bottom with some hershey's chocolate shell. She also put wip cream on the top with crushed peanuts and a cherry on top.while we ate it we watched despicable me 3.

I think yes we should wear our uniforms to school.Because if you go on a trip to another school you could represent your own school. Example: when we went to the museum we knew where we were Suppose to be.Another reason why you should wear your school Uniform is because if you don’t wear your uniform and a visitor comes in they will think the whole class is full of new learners. Especially the little kids wearing uniforms also just brights up your day even more. This makes you happy then you already are.Talking about it makes you happy i mean you should wear your school uniforms or other why’s visitors will think you are still in kindergarten.
