Term 2 Writing Narrative Assessment

Learner: Sanjana                   Learning Coach: Abby Morgan              Date: 26 May 2015
Learning Area: Literacy - Writing
Learning Observed
Part of our writing focus has been on adding more detail to our stories. We begin in a group and construct a piece of writing together before we then decide on what is important that we need to include in our success criteria (In order to be successful I need to include …). Sanjana was able to share her ideas about the important features we needed to include in our success criteria. She suggested that we had to have capital letters and full stops, and that is should include a sentence telling the reader what had happened. When Sanjana and I met to review her writing she showed me that she had met all of the success criteria. She had included capital letters, full stops, what, where, when, and how sentences. Sanjana is able to identify sounds she hears in unknown words and is beginning to extend her writing.
